Pergola & Patio Types

Which one suits you depends on the house, the sun and how you will use the space. We advise on site, then design it in 3D before anything is built.

Insulated patio

Insulated roof panels keep the space cooler in summer and quieter in rain. The pick when the area doubles as an outdoor room.

Cantilever

No front posts, so the view and the walkway stay clear. Suits pools, decks and narrow side areas where posts get in the way.

Flyover

The roof sits above the existing gutter line, so it feels taller and keeps light coming into the house. Good for lower eaves.

Flat or skillion

One clean pitch and a low profile. The simplest way to cover a large area without changing the look of the house.

Gable

A pitched roof with height at the centre. Adds presence and headroom, and sits naturally against a gabled home.

Timber

Hardwood or treated pine posts and beams, stained or painted. The warm look, with a polycarbonate or Colorbond roof over it.

Pergola & Patio Questions, Answered

What areas do you build in?

We build right across Sydney, including the Sutherland Shire (Cronulla, Caringbah, Miranda), Manly and the Hawkesbury (Richmond, Windsor, Kurrajong). Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we will confirm we cover you.

What do you build?

Pergolas and patios designed around how you will actually use the space, with shade where it matters, airflow where it is needed, and a structure that feels solid and intentional.

Will I see the design before you start?

Yes. We measure on site and design your pergola or patio in 3D so you can see exactly what you are getting before we begin.

How much will it cost?

Every project is priced after a site visit, because the span, the height, the roof type and the access all change the number. You get transparent pricing before work starts.

How long does a build take?

Most builds take 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the size of the job. We will give you a timeframe with your quote.

Do you handle council or CDC approval?

We do not lodge approvals ourselves, but we can help you through the process so you know what your project needs before we start.

Are you licensed?

Yes. We are licensed builders, NSW contractor licence number 454462C.

How do I get a quote?

Request a free on-site measure and quote. We come to you, take the measurements, and give you transparent pricing in writing.

Pergola, patio or awning, which do I need?

A pergola is an open or partly covered frame, a patio is a fully roofed outdoor room, and an awning is a lighter shade attached to the house. If you want to use the space in rain and summer heat, a roofed patio is usually the answer. We advise on site.

Insulated or flyover roof?

Insulated panels cut heat and rain noise. A flyover lifts the roof above the gutter line so the house keeps its light. They can be combined. It comes down to your eave height and how you will use the space.

Can it attach to a tiled roof?

Yes. We fix to the structure, not the tiles, and flash the join so it stays weatherproof. Where attaching is not the right call, a flyover or freestanding frame solves it.

Timber, aluminium or Colorbond?

Timber gives warmth and can be stained or painted. Aluminium and Colorbond are low maintenance and suit a cleaner, modern look. The frame and the roof can be different materials.

Ready to transform your outdoor space?

Transform underused outdoor space into a refined extension of your home. From premium decking to engineered pergolas and custom access solutions, every build is approached with the same standard: minimal, high-end, and built properly.
